Yes. At Dr. SmiLee Dental of Waco you can get checkups and treatment without dental insurance. Most patients without insurance join our in-house membership plan: $300 a year for anyone 13 and older, or $250 a year for kids 12 and under. It covers two cleanings and two exams a year and takes 20% off most other treatment.


We're at 1230 N Valley Mills Dr, Suite 100, and open Monday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM.

There's no deductible, no waiting period and no yearly maximum. You can use it the day you sign up.


What isn't covered?

We'd rather you know this up front. The plan doesn't apply to:


  • Implants

  • Tooth extractions and other surgery

  • IV sedation

  • Teeth whitening

  • Invisalign


The plan is for patients without dental insurance and can't be combined with insurance or other offers. Fees aren't refundable and can change.


Is a membership plan better than buying insurance?

It depends on what you need. If you mostly need cleanings, checkups and the occasional filling, the plan is usually simpler. If you know you need a lot of work, like an implant or several extractions, look at both options. Our front desk can sit down with you and compare.


What other ways can I pay?

  • CareCredit, with 6 or 12 month no-interest options on purchases of $1,000 or more, if you make the minimum payments and pay it off by the end of the promo period

  • Cash and major credit cards

  • If you do have a PPO plan, we accept most major PPO insurance and file the claim for you


Will I know the cost before treatment?

Yes. After your exam, we'll write out your treatment plan with the price of each step. Nothing starts until you've seen it and said yes.
